Should I Have Sketches of the Bridal Prep?

If you only booked me for a couple of hours than I would probably say no. But if I am there for most of the day, it’s a resounding yes!

To begin with, it’s an essential part of your day. Full of emotions, expectation … It’s a part that most people won’t see, but it’s important to you. The start of your big day. It’s not just about the dress, make-up, hair… it’s getting ready to take one of the most important steps in your life. And I personally think it should be a part of your illustrated story. You have been waiting and preparing to do this for many months (years even) and now it’s here.

Having the makeup done, having your mum/bridesmaids help you with your dress, just chilling before it all starts happening… all those moments are great for sketches!

I personally love being there and sketching the bridal prep. And I am sure you will love looking back at those moments in your sketch album, it makes a great opening and an introduction to your day. It’s all part of it!
