If I had to recommend just one thing to get for your wedding it would be this. Unique, special and fascinating to see the sketches come to life. Jana is brilliant and got on with sketching without disrupting anyone, and the ones done on the day were beautifully displayed as the day went on - everyone stopped to stare at them. Captured the essence of a moment perfectly and you can easily tell who is who. She even went the extra mile and put my dad (who is deceased) into a fishing boat on the lake in the background of one of ours, using an old photo I had. She has then gone above and beyond after the wedding to finish the sketches and create the most beautiful sketchbook, even down to the detail of letting us chops the fabric it was wrapped in to match our wedding colour scheme. She explained clearly the different types of sketches and how she does them, which made for seamless execution on the day that fitted perfectly with the venue. The digital portraits were a huge hit, because guests could have their copy right away to download.
She has a wonderful ability to blend in with the crowd and has a skilled eye for moments to sketch – she even got a sketch of me having my makeup done and my make up artist cried at how beautiful it was!

I booked Jana for my daughter’s wedding at the end of 2023.
I am just so glad that I did because the sketches have captured the day so perfectly! Not just drawings of people, but somehow capturing the whole essence of the day. The guests that did appear in the drawings have been delighted to have a picture of themselves of this quality!

I would suggest to anyone who wants to find a unique, creative and beautiful wedding gift to look no further than to commission Jana Forsyth to make a personalised wedding sketch album of the special occasion. Jana attended my son’s wedding garden party reception and produced the most wonderful album of sketches recording the day. My son and new daughter in law were thrilled to bits with the result because it was so unusual and it captured the feel and movement of the day in a way which photographs don’t. This album is going to become a very treasured possession.
